The Benton Harbor Parks & Recreation Services is committed to providing recreations and liesure services that enhances the quality of life for youth, adults, senior citizens and the special population, while providing a positive and safe environment for the citizens of Benton Harbor. The City of Benton Harbor has 114-acres of parkland that divides between 11 sites.

During the summer months (June through August), Parks & Recreation Services provides an 8-week summer recreation program, Monday through Friday, from 10am until 4pm. The program is held at 6 of the City's parks: Broadway, Edgecumbe Tot Lot, Franks, Hall, Peppiest, and Union. Park activities include field trips, board games, arts & crafts, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, badminton, and baseball. Lunch and snacks are served daily.

The community center includes a reception hall/gymnasium, kitchen facility, and conference/meeting rooms. Recreation and community activities at the center include boxing, basketball, open play basketball leagues for youths and adults, board games, pool tables, foosball, air hockey, volleyball, arts & crafts, cheerleading and basketball clinics, and youth dances.

Jean Klock Park

Jean Klock Park, dedicated in 1917, includes 76-acres of Lake Michigan frontage and 3,000-feet of beachfront, with open and wooded sand dunes. Lake Michigan swimming, paved parking, boardwalk, volleyball courts, observation tower, bathhouse, concession area, playground and picnic shelter.

Hall Park
Valley Drive and Hull Street
Hall Park is the oldest of the City parks, established in the early 1900's. The park includes a picnic area, playgound equipment, and baseball/softball fields.

Riverfront Park
River Dr.
Riverfront Park is located along the St. Joseph River, near the Bicentenial Bridge. The site includes a fishing platform, playground equipment, grills and a picnic area.

Union Park

Union Park is the focal point for baseball acitivity. It includes lighted baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, The park includes a picnic area, playgound equipment, concession stand, playground equipment and restrooms.

Art Galleries
Several art galleries have been making Benton Harbor their home, including Richard Hunt, the world-renowned metal sculptor. Hunt owns a satellite studio in Benton Harbor that is used as a gallery for his own work and for that of emerging artists. Several other galleries and studios have opened along Territorial Road and Main Street.
